Three Little Piggies

Today was our third day in our unit study on PIGS. Fun, fun, fun!!

Wednesday:
- Calendar/ 100s chart
- Prayer & Bible Study
- math
- Phonics work - A & E
- Reviewed the Pledge of Allegiance and watched Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance on YouTube. Really great :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPbIls0iOnI
- Review stuff we've learned so far abo pigs
- Played "Catch the Pig" - - a silly little game on Facebook - LOL!
- Read The Three Little Pigs from Mary Engelbreit's Nursery Tales. Great classic version & I love the illustrations
Product Details
- I had Camille read and take a little reading comprehension quiz on the story. Her first multiple choice page! HA!
- We talked about real pigs vs. the characters, and discussed some of the traits that the characters had that are shared with real pigs (i.e. the third pig being smart).
- Today was totally an art day. We made the three little pigs and the wolf, and began construction on their houses. We'll be putting on a little show later - - stay tuned :)

It was a kind of short day. I seem to have picked up the virus that Brandon had over the weekend, and every muscle in my body aches. No fever or anything else....just exhausted. I'm praying this passes quickly & so thankful that I'm a SAHM - afternoon nap to the rescue!!
